WHAT IS MANTRAILING?
Mantrailing – the best game of hide and seek with your dog.
The dog's nose is so incredibly powerful, we allow them to use this natural asset to trail a specific human scent, whereupon finding their missing person, they will be rewarded with the best treasure. It is a highly enriching activity for dogs and a great fun way to strengthen your relationship.
Mantrailing is all-inclusive, any breed and any age of dog can take part. Dogs are worked individually and on a long line, which makes it ideal for those with social difficulties. It is a great way to build self-confidence and can really help nervous or shy dogs. Blind, deaf, 3-legged dogs can all learn to trail. If your dog has a nose, they can become a Mantrailer.
No experience is necessary to get started. The first thing to do is find your local instructor and book on to an Introduction workshop. After completing the introduction, you can join in with regular trailing sessions.
All of our instructors are qualified with Mantrailing UK.
We offer a variety of workshops and lessons in various locations. We cover Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian. West Lothian, Falkirk, Lanark, Fife, Scottish Borders, The Highlands ( North of Inverness). If you have a group of friends who would like to try Mantrailing and have a suitable venue out with the areas we cover, some of our instructors will be happy to travel around Scotland.
